This dress is only the second black garment I've made ( this skirt was the first one) and I don't think I'll be making another one in a hurry

PATTERNS: I used Simplicity S0733 as a base for the pattern, but altered the skirt so that I could add a side slit to it (and keep the vertical pattern of the skirt fabric actually running vertically all the way around

and amethyst—perfect for bold and classy DIY weddings.
