There is good punch to the fleshy midpalate of the medium-bodied flavors that possess a slightly dusty and mildly edgy but not really austere finish that is notably shorter than it usually is

lavender and a whisper of exotic spice

Truffle and tobacco with cherries and cedar chest aromas in the nose

This is also markedly floral in character with its aromas of pretty red cherry

Gros Frere et Soeur, Grands Echezeaux other_regions_australia 2013 and 2014(from a . 3 ha parcel replanted in 1985). Somewhat surprisingly given how clean the prior wines are, this is quite firmly reduced and in need of aeration. While there is excellent intensity to the medium weight flavors the finish is at once rustic and tangy, which is to say decidedly awkward. This may recover but its not especially well balanced today though the underlying material appears to be of excellent quality.
