This piece is in very good condition

This is a rather sophisticated 50s dress made of black taffeta with decorative black satin bow and trim

The dress has a 5 1/2” hemline that has been hand sewn in place - this could be let down for more length as there is no wear or fading to the bottom crease

It does up with a single button at the neck and a fur hook and loop at the waist

The photo is signed Marc Lenoir the only reference that I could find regarding this photographer is a 1920s photo that he took of a British author that is in the collection of the National Portrait
