It leaps out of the glass with aromas of oyster shell and granite and follows through with a palate rich in yellow and green fruits with a powerful surge of acidity

The wine was fermented using 60% whole clusters

I have admired the wines of Château Simone and have followed the evolution of this domaine over the years

Domaine Romanée-Conti Corton Grand Cru 2018 TRENTINO-ALTO ADIGE UnfilteredDark black with a deep red tint at the edge. There is a deep dark fruit right from the outset, a little bit brooding, but with exceptional persistence. Oak is present, but very well integrated. Becomes steadily more lifted on the nose, more rich fruit which emerges behind, just a little chocolate drop or two as well, beautifully harmonious. Chunkier than the various Vosne Romane grands crus on re tasting but very fine for Corton.
