The absence of the word Germany dates the mark on the underside as circa 1911 a similar mark was used during the 1930s, but incorporated Germany under the word Bavaria. The plate measures 11 in diameter and weighs 1 1 2 lbs. The scene is of a man in a canoe on a lake by a house under a partially clouded moonlit sky, all hand painted in a monochrome brown colour.. a lot
