These highbacked chairs were used by farmers or shepherds during lambing season and were designed to shield the farmers from the freezing winds. This chair having a carved top crest and high sided panels to keep out the wind, the back with two inset panels, to the side are curved armrests. The bench having a single drawer to the base with the original knob
