This is a wine coming into its own with plenty more energy still

(from three separate plantings that have an average vine age of ~35 years)

racy and super-saline-inflected flavors that culminate in an almost painfully intense and bitter lemon-inflected finale

this hasn't changed a great deal since my last review except that the length is now even more phenomenal and the supporting tannins are a bit more apparent

Roda, Cirsion other_regions_italy This is a wine comingDark purple. Powerful, deeply pitched black and blue fruit, licorice, pipe tobacco and violet scents are sharpened by mineral and peppery spice elements. Broad, sweet and seamless on the palate, offering concentrated cassis and cherry compote flavors accented by exotic allspice and black cardamom nuances. Shows unlikely vivacity for its brawn and finishes with superb energy and thrust, with supple tannins quickly absorbed by the wine's plush fruit.
