Raw almond notes enrich yellow apples and gingery spices

cool earth and a hint of anise

Acidity still quite prominent

charcoal and wild herbs

highly complex and strikingly lengthy if decidedly firm finale where the only nit is a touch of warmth

Laurent Ponsot, Gevrey Chambertin Aulne Vintage:2018 Raw almond notes enrich yellow(alder). There is a very mild whiff of volatile acidity present on the wild cherry, raspberry and forest floor scented nose. Once again there is very good vibrancy to the suave yet nicely detailed medium bodied flavors that terminate in a mildly rustic and persistent finish. This isnt particularly dense but is attractive in its fashion.
